The Neighborhoods We Look at First

Bastrop and Del Valle

About 30 miles east of the city, Bastrop gives you a real small-town feel with a surprisingly charming downtown — and prices that'll make your eyes water in the best way. The commute is doable, especially on reserve or a schedule with flexibility built in. If you want land, a slower pace, and room to breathe, this one's worth a serious look.

South and Southeast Austin

If you want to be close to the action without paying Central Austin prices, South and Southeast Austin is your sweet spot. You're a straight shot up 35 or 183 to the airport, and the neighborhood has genuine personality — local restaurants, live music, and people who actually talk to their neighbors. It's Austin the way Austin used to feel.

Manor

Manor is one of the most affordable options in the Austin metro, and it's growing fast — in a good way. You're northeast of the city, which keeps you out of the worst traffic corridors, and the drive to Austin HQ is manageable. Early mover energy here: get in now before the rest of Austin figures it out.
